Hi, I'm hoping someone on here could possibly lend me a hand. I run a small website selling rugby clothing (www.crashballrugby.co.uk). Since day one my goal has been to return some money to grassroots rugby via a charity in some kind of share of the profits I make from clothing sales.. Does anyone have any good ideas for charities that might be interested? I've contacted a few but not as yet, I'm not asking for anything in return other than to know that I've made a difference and hopefully got some more people the rugby bug!

Cheers

Try The Wooden Spoon. Great support from everyone involved in rugby!

OP wants his money to go to grass roots rugby, Wooden Spoon's scope is broader than this. I can't think of any charities that tick the boxes I'm afraid, it might be worth a tweet @ Will Greenwood and Scott Quinnell asking if they know of such a charity.

You could always act as a charity in your own right by inviting applications from grass roots clubs for funding for small items / projects. If you're adept with social media you could do it via Facebook / Twitter, failing that, contact your local constituent body and ask them to invite suitable member clubs to make applications. Taking this route is more likely to have more of an upside for your business.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for your help.. I did try wooden spoon once before and I will try again and the ex players are a great suggestion too. Thanks for much for your ideas and support!
