This looks like a great group... Cam Cowell is a legit England player.

Mikalcius is one to look out for.

A good 2-3 exciting young players in each team though.

hope Ludlam gets a good chance this season.

There's an article with Mark Hopley, the Saints' coach in today's TRP with a couple of decent bits re. Ludlam.

The short version is that he missed a chunk of last season with a 'bad pectoral injury' which was a set back to him making the breakthrough, but that he is expected to do so this season.

Some nice qoutes: "Lewis works hard, is really good over the ball and has an edge about him which you need as a top-class back row. It's hard to compare him to Sam Underhill and a lot of people still don't know who Lewis is, but he has the ability to be very good.".

There's also as slightly worrying one: "Tom Wood has taken him under his wing ..." I'm sure Wood's got some useful insights to pass on, but hopefully he's not mentoring all his natural instincts at the breakdown out of him.

From a Quins point of view, James Lang, Henry Cheeseman and Jonas Mikalcius all looked very good. It's also interesting that all three could provide us with options we don't currently have. Lang is a 10 in the XV man game, so it's not as easy to judge his playmaking, but he certainly looks to have a good running game and we've been crying out for a young, up-and-coming 10 to break through. Cheeseman and Mikalcius are big, hard-running, fast wingers who would offer a different threat to Yarde, Visser and Walker.
