You see all the boxers do a lot of skipping, but do any rugby players here do skipping themselves?

What does skipping do for you, is it an aerobic exercise which burns fat quickly?

Skipping can do a few things, for one it increases your skill with your feet making you more agile and the like (that's why boxers do it.) it strengthens your ankles and it can provide a slight cardio workout .

What he said and improves your balance also.

Well I do it as a warming up, to strenghten my ankles.
also when you do it in the forest, beofre going for a run, it's also relaxing, just listening to the wind, birds and trees.

Really good for shin splintz if u do it regularly. I used to get it alot when I started playing rugby then When I started thai boxing did a lot of skipping. At first the shin splints was getting worse then after a while I didnt get it any more then when I played rugby I stopped getting it 2. Skipping is good For improved footwork, coordination, and is good cardio.
