I use Adaware and Winpatrol ( cheers Woosaah :) ) they seem to be pretty good
where did you get winpatrol from?

I personally recommend Spybot or Adaware, or if you want to be extra safe, both.

winpatrol.com

its not really for spyware, but it does help with virus's etc. and will jump if somethign is trying to install on your system without you knowing it.

i use it for work as well stops stuff from executing on your startup without you knowing it, its pretty deep and i recomend it

My firewall went down for 4 hours the other day when I went out and when I come back I had like 20 spy's popping up on me.

So I ran Spyware Doctor which is very good, just need to dload it of the site and then get serial for it.

Found like 134 infections.

I really need a registry cleaner/error cleaner as ran one the nother day and found like 300 errors but I have tried loads of software but all it seems towant to do is get money out of me, anyone know of any good FREE registry programmes?

use tuneup utilities 2006, get a serial than run a maintenance check...it cleanse everything up for ya and fixes ya registry.

works a treat

I have installed the programme and has made an improvement to performance etc but I am still getting an error upon startup... :%#%#:

what is your exact error?

please can you take off that last sig? its the worse one of of the lot

anyone else get headaches from it?

I've got Adaware and Spybot but neither will help me with my latest spyware issue. Every two minutes or so I'll get a pop up on my tool bar telling me the computer is infected with spyware - click on it and it'll take you to a website where you can buy spyware programs. It's clearly a ploy by whatever spyware company it is. It's obviously not Windows that recommends the program but they've tried to make it look like it is for the dead shits out there.

I also get random porn pop ups every so often, which isn't so sweet when your mum is around.

THATS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE!!!! :%#%#:

i used all the programs thats been listed here and it still doesnt fix the problem.

anyone have a suggestion?

I had flash pop ups goin over the top of whatever I had on screen, f*cking annoying, found logging off then straight back in would stop it for a while. Then just kept doing scans with Adaware over and over making sure to update every day and they eventually stopped...

They're .dll's and they change their name so take a while to get rid of as far as I can tell...

Spy Falcon is one of the worst of these. I've removed it for a mate, but it's a ***** of a thing, traditional methods don't work.
