So it's been a few years since I gave up Sky, certainly before the SA teams left Super Rugby, but I've just got it again so watched the final today. While I wasn't surprised that two NZ teams made the final, I was surprised by how utterly one sided it was. Was this predicted or were the Chiefs expected to put up more of a fight?

No. Absolutely not predicted. I was expecting a high-scoring game, but I definitely was expecting it to be much more even.

Personally, I don't actually think the Chiefs were that bad; I mean, they weren't great, obviously, but holy ****, the Canes were unbeatable. Would love to see the Canes side take on Toulouse. Recon that would be a cracking game.

Wellington's typical wind didn't help, but even in a closed stadium the Chiefs wouldn't have stood a chance

The Canes have always been my team in Super Rugby - all I’ll say is that’s easily the best performance I’ve ever seen from a Hurricanes side. There’s been some amazing Canes teams over the years but given what was on it, Saturday was a different level to anything they’ve produced before. I still can’t quite believe it.

It was one of the best team performances I have ever seen. Regardless of the competition
