the FIFA association is ****

i think the FIFA is rather a band of suckers that think they are the gods of the football planet and they can do whatever they want. f*** these dumb asses, who told them they could reign like a totalitarist monarchy. i'd like the G14 (all the most powerfull european clubs) to secede from them and create their own league ... that would give the fifa a lesson. for example, the national teams : when a player goes to his national team, he's still payed by his club, if he gets wounded, the club still has to pay him. this is not normal, which company would let his employee go to work for another company for free ? get him back wounded and say nothing ??? there is only with the fifa rules that you can see this.
2nd problem : the video in football. who could involve millions in an uncertain game ... casino players ... and do you think fans want their money to be gambled ??? with our actual technology we could solve that problem easily but its way too easy. they need to keep doing **** !!! i don't say the video would solve the problem i say it would reduce the mistakes (like offsides for example)

Some of the G14 are money robbing ********.

I don't agree with much of their thoughts, but I do believe that if your player is injured on international duty you should be compensated suitably.

i totally agree with that. good sumary of the situation. the problem is that the FIFA think they are controlling everything in the football world. it seems they didn't notice they were an association. it means the members of this association decided to take part of this organisation just to make their lives easier. i don't think any law in any country would oblige the clubs to be member of the FIFA or UEFA. if all the clubs want to create their own league, who could forbid it ? the FIFA ? how ? nah if they seceed, the FIFA will only be able to cry and shut their f****** mouth !!!

Wow! I mean you have obviously really thought this through haven't you?

It is a small problem that there is a bloody great big hole in your argument.

Let's take Michael Essien for example - he is Ghanian and obviously enjoys representing his country. Now Ghana is a poor country compared to most of Europe and as such the resources that the Ghana FA has access to is very limited. Now if the Ghana FA thought for a single second that Essien might get injured during service for his country and that they would have to pay damages in the forms of wages to his club I doubt that they could risk selecting him. And as for taking out insurance on all of their players? Pffttt - way too expensive for a lot of countries.

The solution to this is simple - if you are a chairman of a football club and do not want to lose players when they choose to play for their country then simply don't recruit internationals.

FIFA has, and quite rightfully in my opinion, has decided that international football is very important and they recognise that a lot of nations with talented players do not have the resources to incur the kind of litigation that you are talking about. And have decided that the clubs - especially the rich European clubs can shoulder the financial risk and expense.

I believe that this is the right way to do it also. And it is a small price to pay for the privilege of having top-quality international players playing for your club.

yep but on the contrary, take Eric Abidal (french left sideback) ; last year he got wounded twice in 2 international matches (friendly btw). if you were the coach, wouldn't you be a bit angry to have your top sideback wounded twice for friendly matches ?
I agree with you for the "little" teams that have no money but what about big teams ? they should make a ratio of the club and the national team to compare the possibilities of compensation in case of injury. Anyway its the FIFA who decides and the only FIFA. that's what i'm fed up with ... and everybody has to say Amen to them ... what the f*** they can't decide alone !!!

There's very football associations that could afford to pay a player's wage, it's not the associations fault that a few select countries have ridiculous wage bills within their leagues, it's their mess they should fix it themselves and stop looking to blame others.

money is not the problem (well yes and no), its a question of principle and respect (a point less and less suitable for football unfortunatly).

Imo, we all should be on the board of each of these competitions. We'd do a much better job than these people as our knowledge supersedes theirs (sorry for spelling errors, particularly "supersedes")...maybe we should all drop our applications in.

why not ... you're a rugby fan so you still know what does respect mean !!! on the contrary to those f****** money suckers of the boards. and you wouldn't be subject to lobbying !

Rugby's a Religion for PRESIDENT of the FIFA :) :) :)

To be fair though there isn't really a good compromise in this situation. Coaches are allowed to pull their players from "friendlies" but by doing so would probably annoy the player and make them want to change clubs if it hurt their international career.

I have always thought that the English FA should charge clubs a "foreign player" tax based upon a certain percentage of that player's wages. Maybe around 1-2% would be fair and then the FA could use that pool of money to compensate the clubs when they play their players in internationals.

This would have the effect of encouraging clubs to develop English players as not only would they not have to pay the "foreign player" tax but they would actually get money for having English players that are selected for their country.

I do though agree that FIFA are **** but not because of this issue. I could a million-page article on just how **** FIFA is.

However because of how powerful FIFA are and the sheer amount of influence that are able to yield it is really no surprise how corrupt they are. Imagine if I had that much power - I'd go insane and start developing my own nuclear weapons program. Muhahahahahahahah!

:):):) such as the north korea :):):) (see topic in the off topic section)
apparently the FIFA did not notice everyone could f*** off them (i don't know if that expression exist i want to say tell them to f*** off)... they are useless !!! i think clubs remain memebers of tha assoc because they don't want to pay again to create something else but if the FIFA rules become too crap they will do something. you can't oblige clubs to adhere to the FIFA. if they decide to create another league, nobody could stop them. i think the lobbying of the G14 is bigger than the FIFA one ... same as nations ... if the FIFA excludes some national teams, nobody could prevent them creating a cup of the nations instead of the world cup... imagine brasil, italy, england, germany and france create a cup and say now who wants to come can come ... everybody will follow them !!!

Yes I was refering to the North Korea issue - I thought that it would be perfectly obvious for anyone reading it.

But back to clubs (or countries) leaving FIFA. It would be a mistake and would essentially tear world football apart.

There is also no guarantee that the new footballing body would be any better than FIFA anyway. I also think (and hope) that everyone realises that sometimes things will not go your way and you don't always get what you want but rather have to work with what you have.

yep but saying such things could make FIFA react and think about what they are doing. like a sort of counterpower. if you are doing **** and nobody, who has a decision power, tells you you're doing **** then you will keep going on with your mistakes. FIFA think too much they are the absolut truth in football (like the irb for rugby).
i might remind you that the FIFA earned about 2 billion euros during the wc ... thanks to who ? the players ... paid by who ? the clubs ...

2 Billion? Wow they could start their own nuclear weapon development proram with that and then I would like to see the G14 say bad stuff about FIFA.

Ha-ha! FIFA would just nuke their stadium with a tactical nuke and then go right what were you saying about compensation packages for injured players, G13? We would really like to know your thoughts on that. Muhahahahahahahahahahaha!

but they don't need to developp their own nuke, they could just get a dozen from our nutter korean friend :)
and if they do as you say ... its gona get a little tough to play with an anti rad suit !!! :)

also thanks to tv contracts, sponsorships, supporters paying for their tickets, all sorts of hospitality and merchandising as well.

Granted the players are the main attraction so they do contribute in a largely significant way.

Without FIFA though there is no world cup, without UEFA no European Championship and no champions league or UEFA Cup for that matter, it's not the G14 that started the competition, they're just making money out of it.

What is it that FIFA have done to have ****** you off so much, it's not as if national associations are much use anyway. The English FA were shown to be pathetic when they allowed Rooney's ban from the Amsterdam Tournament to stand, which was a joke of a decision.

Awww come on - think of the marketing oportunities. Not only do you have to buy a home and an away jersey in addition to the training and European strips but you will also need to buy a radiation suit whenever your team plays in the nuked stadium. Brilliant more money. :p

hum i might remind you that the FIFA, UEFA etc.... are associations. if clubs don't want to adhere any more, nobody could force them. if they want to create another competition, nobody could forbid it. they just keep going on with the FIFA 'cause its more practicle for them, that's all ... when the FIFA will suck too much, the clubs will just tell them to f*** off ...
