The problem with the A.I

My biggest gripe about the AI is the seemingly lazy programming - if you think about it, 9 times out of 10 all the AI does is run an automatic set move.

Once the last player has the ball he tries to run for the line. He'll never look for support or pass it. Very rarely if ever can the Ai pass it down the line when not using a set play, perhaps for a short ball to the forwards but thats it. The AI can't string more than one pass together. I find this gets tiring very quickly, watching set play after set play. I want to see the ball being passed to men in support etc.

This is the same for rugby 06 and 08 and was one of my biggest gripes with the games - the AI has no understanding of who is around it. You can see some support players backing up the man with the ball, the AI never passes to them. Just goes for the line.

What do you guys think?
