Just a fun topic I'm starting while I watch Ireland vs. Italy. Name your top 10 centers going into the World Cup in order. I'm interested in seeing who makes the bottom of that list since we can all imagine who would be the top but its who surprises in the world cup that is interesting.

Mortlock has to be up there, he's in great form and will be a good captain for the World Cup.

dabiths is the only one that id go along with some of the others just seem insane

First FH's and now centres. Oh well:

1. Stirling Mortlock - in imperious form.
2. Yannick Jauzion - timed his form to perfection.
3. Brian O'Driscoll - would be higher but hard to be the best coming into the world cup with a bust sinus*.
4. Luke McCalister - I never really rated this guy until now.
5. Matt Giteau - If England get Australia this'll be the guy I fear.
6. Jean de Villiers - Not his best summer but still good.
7. Gordon D'Arcy - Match fit a match winner (although I do attribute a lot of it to the presence of O'Driscoll).
8. Jacques Fourie - solid centre.
9. Isaia Toeva - Had a lot of good moments but a few bad moments as well, doesn't look a natural centre but time will tell.
10. Andy Farrell - Had you worried. As for the tenth I'm stumped.

*Am I to be believed if a sinus was a pocket of air - an empty space inside your skull. Am I also right in believing that you cannot fracture something that isn't there. It'd be like stepping out of the door and fracturing the wind. I can only assume he's broke the bone or cartilage that surrounds the sinus.

1) Yannick Jauzion - France
2) Brian O' Driscoll - Ireland
3) Stirling Mortlock - Australia
4) Gordon D'Arcy - Ireland
5) Tom Shanklin - Wales
6) Aaron Mauger - New Zealand
7) Matt Giteau - Australia
8) Luke McCalister - New Zealand
9) Jean de Villiers - South Africa
10) Mirco Bergamasco - Italy

No offense to Scottish or England members but I couldn't fit a centre from both countries in there.
