I also think that some people are forgetting that you don't need to mention a full starting team of players with real faces.
For example I would rather have O'Gara who starts on the bench have a real face than Cian Healy who starts.
Or Wilkinson/Flood have a real face opposed to Lee Mears

Yeah, this is a good point. There's more to it than whether they're in the 1st XV or not...
eg. Tana Umaga wont be in the All Blacks (he'll be playing for Waikato... and he may not even be in their starting lineup) but he's one of the most influential players of all time, or at least one who is still playing.
and Sonny Bill, although he probably wont be a first choice centre he's such a big name that he would need to have a unique face.

If there was gonna be unique faces for players who only played in Super Rugby i'd add Aled deMalmanche and Jamie Mackintosh. After the RWC is finished and half the All Blacks head overseas these guys will definitely get the call up.
