Samoa prop Sakaria Taulafo has been rewarded for his fine form with a new three-year deal at London Wasps.
Taulafo has made sixteen appearances for Wasps since arriving from Tasman Makos in December on an initial 18-month contract.
However after seeing the 27-year-old, who is known as Zak, make a positive impression on and off the field, Wasps director of rugby Tony Hanks had no hesitation in offering him an extending deal.
"Zak has made a significant impact since his arrival, playing both sides of the scrum and adding real quality to our front row roster," said Hanks.
"Zak has settled well in the Wasps environment and we believe he will continue to develop strongly over the next few seasons.
"His positive attitude and desire have allowed him to rack up an impressive appearance total in a short space of time and that is a reflection of his hard work and why he is a valuable asset to the squad."
Taulafo is now hoping to have a long successful time at Wasps after relishing the chance to play alongside Phil Vickery and Tim Payne at Adams Park.
"Moving to England and competing in the Premiership and Europe has been a very challenging move for me," said Taulafo.
"Week in, week out we play in the toughest tournaments and against some of the best players in the world and it is because of the great group of players, coaches and staff at London Wasps that I have been able to embrace that challenge and am very happy to be signing with club for the long term.
"Wasps is a very special place and the people here have become like a second family to me. To play alongside some of the best props in the game like Phil Vickery and Tim Payne, and against players like Carl Hayman, has made this first season very enjoyable and I hope that I will continue to develop and play a strong part in the club's future.
"My family and I have been made very welcome and I look forward to continuing with Wasps for many more seasons."
