pretty good news, is lined up to get gametime in 3 matches over the next week or so with maybe a return to super rugby about the 30th of this month. May be too late for the canes but last year he was easily NZ's best 9 so all eyes will be on his recovery during this world cup year.

I'm pretty sure he will come back well. He's such a natural player so his ability has always been tied to his level of fitness rather than Form. It always seems to be that the fitter he is the better he plays. Word is he's only put on ~3kg so if he works hard enough he should be good to go in a few weeks.

Weep is class and much better than Jimmy Cowan I hope he makes the nz world cup tteam

Some good signs, I think Cowan is in pretty good form right now, maybe the best super rugby form he's had for 3-4 years. Overall I think better than Elis who is in the form of his life but does get an armchair ride at the crucaders. Plus Leonard is back to his best and looks great for the chiefs even though the team as a whole hasn't been great (mostly the tight 5) and mathewson is pretty consistant.

But at the end of the day on last years form Weepu is maybe the best 9 in the world, and will be a big boost for the AB's to have him fit and fireing.
