Whats the point of buying an iPod? Why not just buy yourself a portable CD player and one of those 20 CD Case thingies?

iPods are for those who pirate MP3's, not goodie good Commies who spend 70 bucks a week on CD's just so they can stare at a chick when they could just as easily download pictures of preety ladies who have seem to have misplaced thier clothes.

yeah man - that was good untill you said the greenday ****.

as for the ipod - its smaller than carring around 20cds - atm, i have to cd cases, one for studio albums, another one for live stuff, so i would need to carry around both, and i would also rather lose a $500 ipod, and keep $500worth of cds

You do know that you can just download the MP3's for free.

I saw a 6GB MP3 Player for 400 odd NZ dollars the other day. 30GB iPod videos are around 519 NZ. What a rip off that is...

Well I have an SONY HD-MD player, that needs 1 AA battery

HD MD's hold 1G per disc

When recorded in minimal quality u can get 48hours of music on 1 disc

The discs are about 3mm thick, and u can carry 5 at the size of a mobile phone

along with this i have 4 AA rechargable Sony batteries, with 18 hrs playback lifetime.

So do the math

5 dics = 240 hours of music
4 batteries = 72 hours of music

All for $350.00, and the option to have more music, i'll just buy more discs
So I can go outdoors and away from any power supply, for 72 hours of non-stop music, or even longer if i just buy some DURACELL AA's.

No re-powering my battery
No need for PC, to download songs...i just copy from any sound source..even my 2 way radio, i can record the meet at Caulfied races for the day if i want

1) nzers get videos for free, and possibly songs too (not sure) because there is no way of paying. apple know there is a problem for a while and havent done anything about it yet - and most people think - never will

2) ipods are a brand. its like, ooh a ipod wow. everyone knows how to use one. they look cool. and like i said, they are the main brand of mp3s. its just cool. i couldnt care less if they have cheaper and better ones on the market - there just not as cool.
