Ah, nice thread. My all-time favourite, still working extremely well- Rollin` by Limp Bizkit.

Other notable "psych-up" songs:
Get into the ring- Guns & Roses
Unforgiven- Metallica
Live and let die- Guns & Roses
Enter Sandman- Metallica
Come out and play- Twisted Sister
Bad habit- The Offspring

OK, so I`m a sucker for some golden oldie metal stuff- probably showing my age a little, but them songs certainly gets my blood pumping to smoke some okes with the big hit.

sandstorm-darude
remember the name- fort minor
place for my head- linkin park( the reanimation version though)
shake-Ying yang twins
break stuff- limp bizkit
Whos your daddy- lordi
go with the flow-Queens of the stone age
little sister- queens of the stone age
and pretty much all of prodigy's fat of the land album

Most stuff off of the new Unearth album, the faster Killswitch stuff aswell. Bascially really fast metal does it for me.

Strangely enough I think I actually prefer to be in a totally different state of mind to everyone else before playing.

Personally I think I play much better the more relaxed I am, so rather than pumping myself up with thrash metal I go for stuff that chills me out, such as:

Bits of the Gladiator and Lord of the Rings soundtracks
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
Muse - Bliss
Oasis - Champagne Supernova
REM - Everybody Hurts
Secret Machines - Lightning Blue Eyes
Staind - So Far Away
Underworld - Born Slippy

I know they aren't all strictly 'chill-out', but for one reason or another they all relax me and let me focus.

DMX a lot of his stuff
D 12 Fight Music
Eminem- Till I Collapse/Lose Yourself/ Go To Sleep *****

more rap then rock for my pregame.

I dont play rugby, but if i did and needed to get pumped up before a game, i think Right Now by Korn will get me going. Even listening to it in the car makes me want to hit something

erm anything thats on radio on way to club house lol but if i had to choose a dong it would either be back i black by AC/DC or Headstrong by Trapt

those heavy metal songs that tatooists listen to while ur getting ur tat sounds kool!!

It makes me want to hit my eardrums with a knife

Here`s a good one- my good mate, centre partner and best man at my wedding got himself in the right frame of mind by listening to- wait for it- Pavarotti!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it worked well enough for him- hardest hit I ever took was at training when he knocked the stuffing out of me.And I`ve copped some big ones, including a hit by ex-Bok Hendrik Gerber once. Got himself into the EP Currie Cup team too- don`t know how the guys took to his pre-match psych-up song routine though.
