Which ball

This is my first year playing rugby and now I want to buy a ball. I checked the worldrugbyshop.com site for prizes and I was confronted with prize ranges from 20$-100$, match balls, practise balls, etc. Can somebody explain the differences and perhabs recommend a good ball for a rookie like me...?!

you should get a practice ball, they're more durable. Match balls are good for...well, matches. They're more aerodynamic, but not as durable as the practice balls.

Just get a Gilbert practise ball and you'll be sweet.

Like Tim said, practise balls are more durable and thats exactly what you want if you're going to be kicking the living day lights out of it for hours on end.

I bought an economic Gilbert Training Ball (XT-400) and it's great for practising some kicks and passes. We use this model for training at my team because it has great quality and durability. And the price is really low (I payed more for shipping than for the actual ball). Maybe you'll want to give it a try.
