Will the updates work with a downloaded game?

I downloaded rugby 08 off a youtube link. The game works fine, but I really want to update it. Does the most recent patches work with a downloaded version? I really hope it does! I have downloaded the most recent update, but nothing seems to happen....

Any replies would be greatly appreciated!

well as the guy says we dont like illegal downloads on this website but in order to help u no they dont work. u hav to buy the game on the disk

The game costs about £1.99 on the EA webstore, buy it instead!
