He said

-He played Perfect Dark Zero and the graphics made his heart jump! No jaggies what-so-ever and no flat surfaces either, everything was in full 3D. He said everything right down to the strands of grass you'll see in next gen should be highly detailed in 3D.

-Xbox 360 can play Xbox 1 games, and at an even higher resolution

-The system will have customizable face plates. Plain white and pearl white were the only colors on display at the event. So all you f***ers who are whining because you're afraid the system won't match your carpet or get dirty can be quiet.

-He loved the new controllers and said he think MS spent a lot of time on it, he said it's real smooth and has a nice grip. He said there is a USB port under the controller that he's very excited to see it.

-There are no load times

-He said the system has Tivo functions (which he plans on never using, I hope he didn't mean that in a negative way)

-System has a DVD bruner and a software package to go with it

-He said the system is smaller than the Xbox 1 but not as small as PS2

-When describing the graphics he said he thinks the system will produce ingame graphics on the level of current gen CG, specifically what we've seen in games like Final Fantasy. He said the "2 Days to Vegas" pics seen some time ago is no problem for the 360.

Okey, so I got the magazine right here. The first details about Xbox 360 and Ghost Recon 3. I got some of the info, and I will keep updating this thread while reading.

First info for you guys:
*It will be released in europe 7-10 days after USA-release
*December release in Japan
*Its released in less than six months
*Release games: Perfect Dark Zero, PGR3 and Kameo. Check at the end of this post.

Oh you guys... the controllers look PERFECT! And so does the console!

More info:
*10-16 game ***les at the release. 40 games after half a year.
*The Xbox Live Silver thingy is correct, it will be there, and those features will be free. "Free weekends" and such.
*You will be able to transfer stuff from an ipod. Mentioned more later.
*You will see TV thru your Xbox. Mentioned more later, check under.
*You can have it placed on "standing position" and just have it straight down.
*When you watch DVD, some stuff in the console will automaticly shut down - so its more quiet. Like one of the fans.
*You load the batteries on the controllers up via USB-cable on Xbox.
*The round thingy on the controller = "The ring of light". Its actually a screen, which says if there are any updates on Xbox Live. Downl. content and such. It also says which controller there is in your hands, the number.
*Rallisport Challenge 3 is rumoured to be on Xbox 360. See under.
*Peter Moore confirms Halo 3. Release earliest next year, according to Nexus.

*Just some info about the story, bla bla. The PC-version is developed by the Deathrow-developers, so that the Red Storm Ent. cant concentrate on the Xb 360 and Xbox-version.

*Xbox 360 looks just like the leaked pictures. Its not grey like on Our Colony, its white. But it can be changed.
*The controller seems to have 2 rear buttons and 2 triggers, not sure.
*A, B, X, Y, Back, Start.
*There is a picture of THE "Burning Sky". Seems like you can shut down the Xbox via the controller, by pushing "X" in that screen.
*The Xbox itself has wireless network thingy installed. See below.
*Webcam in 1280-resolution. See below.
*You can put pictures from a digital camera in it. See below.
*Morrowind Oblivion will be released this year.
*About NBA 2k6, they saw a demo of it.

*Something Microsoft Vision will be on Xbox 360. You will see normal TV-channels via your Xbox. AND at the same time Play DVDs AND surf on the internet. At the same time, it seems like.
While all this is on you can get invites to games, friend requests, mail. MS is hoping that 50% of the 360-owners will use Live. Right now, ~8% uses it.
*In the middle of a game, by pushing a button you will get directly to the dashboard.

Oh, and finally and most important: J Allards game of the Xbox 360 is "Fisher Price Nuclear Plant". (edit: which wasnt true, see later in the thread)

hmmm, it's looking good. But to be honest I'm still leaning more towards the PS3 due to the fact it's gonna be running on Nvidia GPU's.

There was actually a rather good point made in that gamespot video aswell about the reception given to the 'dreamcaste' when it first came out... the DC was an unbelievable step forward from the previous generation of consoles in all area's, but barely a year later the PS2 came out and dwarfed it, and not a year out from that, the XBOX came out and dwarfed the PS2... The fact that the 360 is coming out first, in a sense gives the competition a slight advantage as they've already shown all their cards.
Either way, I won't buy any of the next gen systems untill they're about 1 or 2 years old.

somewhere at gamespot they said that the ps3 will roughly be three times more powerful then the xbox 360.

AS if the ps3 wont be more powerful then the xbox 360 since its got like 6 months to make it more powerful.

I wouldn't be upset, it's actually better to wait 1 or 2 years anyway mate...
Personally, I could could blow a pay check and by it as soon as it came out, but the truth is the software (the games) won't be up to scratch untill the consoles reaches 2 years old... most of the launch games for XBOX and PS2 were impressive, but pale in comparison to the stuff released later. Which is the other point. If you buy one straight away there will only be a handful of games, whereas if you wait, it'll be cheaper and there will be a shitload more games and they'll all be better than the launch ***les anyway!

When you consider the 360 has a 3.2 gig prosessor (compared to the Xbox's 800 meg and the PS2's 400meg), an extra bit of power on top of that proberbly wont make that much difference.

Hell, I still remember when a 486 PC was Mutts Nuts!!!

i cant wait for the games on xbox tho...morrowind oblivion and perfect dark

morrowind elder scrolls on the xbox was agame that locked me in the house for atleast 2months non stop playing..it twas awesome but the fighting was crap and the stuff i found appealing about it like the depth in story and the loads of missions grew repetitive.....

howeva the 360 sequel oblivion gots a lotta hype on it,saying the map is 4times as big and everything has evolved especially the action

and perfect dark on n64 was crap to me..i didnt like it
it was allright at start but thought of it as a golden eye wannabe...which it was
dam rareware shud get those licenses back becoz golden eye was DA BOMB
too bad theres no online for consoles at the time....id be killing 15 online players with 8 bullets

Yeah I'm slightly disappointed by what I've seen of the 360. It's still great and everything and I'm yet to see the games but in my opinion at this stage it hasn't quite lived up to the hype. Next to no innovation as well.

Performance wise, the DC wasn't dwarfed by the PS2 - the two systems were as different as a Mac and a PC, but produced roughly the same output (infact, the DC sometimes looked better, see games such as Ecco and Headhunter). The PS2 only had about 200MHZ power over the DC, plus it has the same Dual Prosessor problem that plagued the Sega Saturn and sucked up most of it's power.

The only way the PS2 dwarfed the Dreamcast was in sales because of the name.

i remember my brother brang 3 of his mates over my other brang over 1 of his mates and our two cousins came with all the junk food satan could give us and it was a hectic 34 hours non-stop(well accept for the occasion drink and toilet break)
