Marchand is outrageous but only has one gold so far. Ledecky and Dressel haven't really got started yet (Dressel in the relay only). Hard to see less than three more golds out of those two.

Similar reason why we held it at Royal Artillery Barracks (although we moved it closer to London as originally National Shooting Center)? Essentially gun laws and security.

Apparently it's one of the largest in Europe so means they can host all shooting events there rather than having target in one place and clay in another
Eventing was already at Versailles
TeamGB are a long way down on 2020/1 as well
The only way you could have used Versailles were if the targets were peasants (in keeping with it's history)
