He plays the part of pantomime villain, and... gets treated like a pantomime villain.
I've not seen anything anywhere saying that he's not a really good player with (hopefully) a fantastic career ahead of him, and already possessing some very strong highlights (and I don't mean his hair).
Mind you, I was accused of unreasonably hating him because I called him a floppy-haired, posh-schoolboy, arrogant-Englishman that the Aussies will REALLY hate - which... yeah...
Has he become the new (much more skillfull) Farrell? So the noticing a slight flaw in his game, or on-pitch demeanor means that think he should be banned for life?
Is this the same cognitive dissonance that translates "Genocide is a bad thing" as "Israel should be wiped off the map and jews are barely even human"?
