Ireland vs New Zealand - 01/11/25

Think that’s the right decision with the backrow, hope Baird grabs his opportunity. Surprised with McCloskey and McCarthy. Not against either and think McCarthy has very high potential but Boyle has looked good to me as well and is also a great prospect.

Team fine I suppose. Might seem harsh, but would like to see us move past Henderson. Not like there are any surprises but I suppose actually seeing the team on paper has me less confident. Completely necessity driven in this case, but I think Osbourne is more valuable to us at centre. Ballsy enough to start McCloskey I suppose, but the right call for me.

Don't think you're wrong re Henderson. At his peak he was good but you'd still watch him through your fingers hoping he'd not give a penalty away.

Ahern is obviously not being considered as a lock and with Gleeson and Edogbo out, he makes the most sense though. I imagine at least one will overtake him in the next 12 months.

New Zealand by 10 points. Ireland are capable of winning this but they’ll have to put in their best performance since Durban last year IMO. If they play like they did in the 6 Nations it will be comfortable for the All Blacks.

Seemed like half of Ireland was in downtown Chicago last night. Then some poor guy in an AB Jersey walked into O’Neills………. 😀
