Joking aside I agree this Argentina team aren’t very likeable but when has an Argentina side ever been likeable? They’re not Brazil.
At least in the past when they were s***houses they could also play you off the park if they wanted to. In terms of technical ability, this Argentina team is miles away from some of the teams they’ve had before. Having said that, they never give in and they know how to win these big pressure games.

I’m going 2-1 to England in 90 minutes and neither side finishes with 11.

.

How about “you had your chance in 1982 and lost, now **** off”. Winning the World Cup would be nice (obviously) but beating these ***** would be almost as sweet. I really didn’t wanna go there, but those weirdos can’t help themselves can they?.

@PolitlcsUK might not be a very reliable source arguably purposefully the opposite.
tbf it's being widely reported in pretty much every news source

Whole thing is boiling over into something very nasty on social media, I imagine there'll be violence around the game (there are two videos of England fans getting jumped by Argentinian fans at the Norway game) - a lot of Argentinian fans are in this blind rage about the whole thing, their team is singing songs about the Falklands to rile it all up more

It's all very lame

It’s sad. If you take out the racist Argentina fans (which exist in every countries fan base) the Argentina support is phenomenal. Englands is great too (again when the chair chuckers and knuckle draggers are removed) but football will always have this problem. A victim of its own success I guess.

Ah fair - did do a quick search but nothing came up in news. Might be due to location.

If this match isn't talked about controversially for decades it hasn't lived up to the billing.

Hopefully only on the pitch though but the sport with the dumbest and most easily influenced fans are being stirred into a frenzy so unlikely.

Maybe the yanks pricing people out of the game will prove to be a good thing.

Re tonight’s game, I feel people are silly writing off Spain. If I had to bet on one I’d pick France but it’s a 50/50 game just like the other semi.

It's being massively overshadowed considering it's the most likely final to produce the winner. (England are currently fractionally ahead of Spain outright with France nearly odds on but are decently better odds in their semi so I imagine Spain would be favourites in an Eng v Spa final)

Can pretty much guarantee any fights that happen, England fans will be the ones blamed. It was like in the Euros a while ago where English fans were targeted and the police ignored the perpetrators and went after the victims.

Argentina play silly buggers about the Falklands all the time, to the extent of displaying openly political banners about it on the field, and never get punished.

Definitely overlooked Spain being the best off the ball team in favour of France being the best on the ball team.

Think France have been very poor but Spain are probably bigger contributors to that than it looks.
