Lee Briers produced a masterful, eight-conversion kicking display to steer Wales to an emphatic win over Scotland.

The Warrington Wolves stand-off exploited some sloppy handling to give his side the perfect start to their 2010 Alitalia European Cup campaign.

Rhys Williams and Elliot Kear both scored three tries each.

Lennon, White, Thomas, Emmitt and James also touched down for the Welsh at Old Anniesland, while Ben Fisher and Andrew Henderson replied with two each.

The score constituted a record home defeat for the Scots.

Very good win. Needs to be built on though, no point winning one game 66-20 but losing the next 2 or 3 internationals.
