June Internationals: Samoa VS Italy (15/06/2013)

Actually it will be quite a different pack to the one that played the springboks. Potentially only 3 players (Leo, Thompson and Tuifua) will be in the run on team that played that RWC match. Our pack was getting pummeled in the scrum during the first half of that match (until Cencus Johnston was...

June Internationals: Samoa VS Italy (15/06/2013)

Hey man. That was then this is now. If you watched the Italy game you wouldve seen our scrum was exposed quite abit in the first three quarters of the game. If the Italians could do what they did against our scrum, I see alot to be concerned with when we play South Africa. Our lineout has been...

June Internationals: Japan v Wales, Second Test (15/06/13)

Great win for Japan and thoroughly deserved. They have been building themselves up well since their inception into the Pacific nations cup in 2005. I love watching their style of rugby and about time they got a big win vs a tier 1 nation. Yes Wales were not at full strength, but that doesnt...

June Internationals: Samoa VS Italy (15/06/2013)

Kahn opted to play for the Barbarians and I believe he decided to sit this one out as he is healthy. George Pisi not sure but maybe the same reason (just wanted a rest). They deserve a pass if that's the case as they have both been loyal to us in the past and are coming of long seasons at club...

June Internationals: Samoa VS Italy (15/06/2013)

Was an awesome peformance by the team. Instead of starting hot and kindve slipping in sections of the game like last week vs Scotland, they were able to patiently assert themselves into the game and were able to eventually fire on all cylinders by the second half and put the Italians to bed...

2013 Pacific Nations Cup: USA v Tonga

final score 18 - 9 Tonga Pretty horrible game. Reseting scrums really killed the flow of the game. Piukala man of the match for me.

2013 Pacific Nations Cup: USA v Tonga

Beautiful INT and run there for the try by Piukala. 2nd try of the day for him

2013 Pacific Nations Cup: USA v Tonga

Yeah these US guys calling the game are pretty average at best. Former Tongan player Willie Lose usually calls most of the Pac nations games and he usually does a pretty good job. A while ago back around 2006-2007 the ABC here in Oz had the broadcast rights for the pac nations cup. The first...

2013 Pacific Nations Cup: USA v Tonga

Tongas set piece has been a mess the whole first half. Surprised US do not have the lead yet.

2013 Pacific Nations Cup: USA v Tonga

Nice shunt there by the US scrum...The Tongan pack got destroyed on that one..

2013 Pacific Nations Cup: USA v Tonga

Latu as always leading from the front. Great to see him return as a regular fixture in the Ikale Tahi after his long exile and missing the RWC. Nice try by Piukala...Tonga looking the good.

June Internationals: Samoa VS Italy (15/06/2013)

Hey Guys...been a while since I posted here. Based on performance, for now, Samoa could be considered tier 1. However based on Infastructure, we are far from it. Unless we can consistantly get someone to bankroll/sponsor us and get the right people at the top running the SRU...the lack of...

    EOYT: Scotland vs Tonga, 24/11/2012

Great win for Tonga. I must agree though they definatly had alot of moments of madness that couldve and shouldve cost them the game. Cracked up at the commentator calling the action in the last minute when they tried to run it out of the 22 in extra time then Piukala with the 'what the hell was...

    EOYT: France vs Samoa, 24/11/2012

Great effort by the team. I honestly thought we outplayed the French and in a sense we shoudlve won. The mental errors we made in the last twenty minutes giving away silly penalties (and Pisi having an off day with the boot) is what I feel made all the difference. Still very proud of the team...

    EOYT: Wales v Samoa, 16/11/2012

Hey man no apologies needed as I said it was no reflection on all the Welsh supporters as I said it was just one fan. You get idiots like that supporting every team (even the Manu Samoa) so its all good. I have alot respect for Wales and in a sense i thought they were deserving making it soo far...

    EOYT: France vs Samoa, 24/11/2012

yes it is def the best era for the Manu Samoa that I have seen in the past 10 years I've been a loyal fan. Was very thin period from 2004 till 2010 with loss after loss piling up. The only notable results being that we won vs Argentina in 2005 and we came close to upsetting Scotland, Australia A...

    Georgia v. Japan, 17/11/2012

Just finished watching, what a cracker of a game it was. Very intriguing was the battle between the contrast of styles. Japan, while being one of the lest physical teams in the IRB top 20, they make up for it with their high tempo, sharpe and quick handling style of play that they have made...
