Minnow players who should be signed by a big European side

Kalamafoni from Tonga has definitely been impressive. Another player who I think deserves a chance playing pro-rugby is Ofisa Treviranus, the Samoan flanker.

Russian club close the deal to sign Samuel Eto'o

    RWC: Fiji - Namibia (10-09-2011, 15:30)

To be frank, Fiji will run riot against the Namibians. They need to play an open attacking game (our normal game actually) and dont take them up front. Nakarawa to start at locks and watch him run wild. Fiji by a landslide.

Pick one underrated, exceptional player for your country

Vereniki Goneva .... plays professionaly in the French 2nd Div, former Fiji 7s captain. Not lighting fast like Fijian wingers are known for, but he more than makes up for it with his defence and strong sidesteps.

Probable 30 man squad for Fiji

Fiji had already been warned for repeated infringements in the rucks....from slo-mo replays, Koyamaibole had gone into the tackle and stolen the ball legally, but the ref ruled that the ruck had formed...one of those 50-50 calls, but since this happened in Fiji's 22 and there was already a team...

    Harshest omission

Rawaqa has a dodgy knee while Rabeni is now a liability with his lazy swinging arm high tackles. Both Dewes & Nagusa deserve the cut as both have been in **** form lately... For NZ, personally I think dropping Sivivatu was a bit harsh as well as Crockett & Tom Donnelly.

Probable 30 man squad for Fiji

from what I can gather, the current management made an enquiry on his availability and he declined. That was the last time they contacted him. I remember coach Domoni saying that they wont bother approaching players who are not committed to the cause.....something I agree with. As for the...

Fiji vs Tonga RWC warm up

Can someone please enlighten me on this Maka & Latu issue??? Anyway, Tonga won the game beating Fiji in it's own style....from broken plays & free-flowing rugby. Especially the elusive Vainikolo....hate him all u want but with him & Iongi, Tonga have 2 accomplished broken field runners...

All Blacks rest 9 senior players for 3N tour to SA

Messam will most likely start at 8 and Thomson at 7. and bg8......Thomson may not be a 7 but he is playing like one. Watch im run wild against the Boks.

Vito called into All Blacks group

What else did she say??? :p a back three of 11. Gear, 14. Jane, 15. Dagg is more likely with Toeava on the bench with Weepu as the only two backs.

All Blacks rest 9 senior players for 3N tour to SA

I'll be frank here and say that even with this so-called 'depleted team'....the ABs will win their game in the republic. Out of those 6 players, only one I think would be greatly missed would be Carter. Apart from him, all the players named to tour are just as good as those rested i.e: Kahui for...

Fiji vs Tonga RWC warm up

Game was live on Fiji TV and still not sold on our perfomances. At least our scrum has improved slightly (thank you Michael Foley), but one thing we really lacked was a speedster. I know....I'm surprised as well but that Iongi fella just had too much gas to burn. Scored two wonderful tries and...

Probable 30 man squad for Fiji

As Rawaqa is now injury prone, best to leave him out of the squad and bring in Jimilai Naikadawa - a livewire 'fetcher' in the same mould as Pocock. Waqaniburotu can cover as locks. Buatava takes too long to pass from the base of the rucks. Waits until the opposition defence is set, then passes...

    Julian Savea

What he needs is to re-join ***ch @ the 7s game to rebuild his confidence and then join the Lions for next seasons ITM cup.

Post RWC player movements; how might it effect the line-ups of S15 teams for 2012?

Now with Weepu confirming his move to the Blues, looks like Anscombe will have to ride shotgun next season. 9. Mathewson, 10. Weepu, ....

    Transfers 2011/12

Ravai Fatiaki is an upcoming talent @ 12, who can also cover @ 10 if required. A very good distributor and excellent in leading the backline well. Also a very good defender as evidenced in the Fiji vs ABs match where he kept Nonu in check.

Probable 30 man squad for Fiji

Now, before I list down what I believe will be the final RWC squad, I would just like to state for the record here that I have never been and probably never will be a fan of current Flying Fijians coach Sam Domoni Jnr. Such a clueless fool who doesnt know anything about coaching, team...
