Scotland Squad Announced For The 6 Nations

This is 2018 not 1918 - small countries like New Zealand play any south sea islander who casts their anchor ashore . Scotland plays in the big pool and the heritage factor is mighty relevant . Lets move on please .

Scotland Squad Announced For The 6 Nations

Come on Bruce ! More people of Scots descent living outside Scotland for historical reasons plus we have by far the smallest playing strength of the home nations . Play the rules just like England have been doing for a decade ! Scotland !!!!!

Same luck as we whipped the Paddies ?

Leinster got Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe - Guinness Pro 14: R. 10

Poor performance by Glasgow who made so many mistakes that they deserved to be behind for much of the match . Great defence by the Blues but by being red carded so early on they really were not going anywhere . Warriors put out very much a second choice squad and nearly paid the penalty .

Leinster got Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe - Guinness Pro 14: R. 10

Disagree with Connacht Feel they will be struggling as Zebre gain more confidence as the season progresses .Embra have a strong bench and should getr back onto the winning streak.

Leinster got Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe, Lowe - Guinness Pro 14: R. 10

Interesting to see if Glasgow use the secret weapon on the bench namely Mr Hastings whose Dad and Uncle achieved a degree of success in years gone by and young George Horne a scrummy of incredible potential . Hope so .

Get a whiff of this, this week's best rugby! Guinness Pro 14 - R. 9

Interesting choices by Dave Rennie in a sell out clash at Scotstoun Brings in Lelia Masaga ( known as " Flash " ) on the right wing who scored a bundle of tries with Chiefs in NZ . The young 6'8" Kiran MacDonald partners Scott Cumming in the boiler house whilst the large South Sea Islander...

It is surely incumbent on any coach to do his homework on the opposition . To leak 7 tries on your home base including one from 80 metres out is unacceptable. That Glasgow had out a squad including five new starts and included a number of the International squad surely should have rung...

Get a whiff of this, this week's best rugby! Guinness Pro 14 - R. 9

A lot of good back ups on board . Dave Rennie handed five players their Glasgow Warriors debuts as the team continued on their unbeaten run in the Guinness PRO14 at Swansea . Italian international Samuela Vunisa recovered from a knee injury to play club rugby a fortnight ago and will pull on...

Easy meat for Warriors in Swansea. as the romp away to a 47 -6 victory. The younger Horne partnered the Hastings boy at half back and they looked a lethal combination. Five Glasgow debutants made their appearance as Glasgow show why they are the ones to beat .

[November Tests 2017 EOYT] Scotland vs. Australia (25/11/2017)

Scottish rugby fans have been living with reality for more than a few years . Fantastic achievement by Townsend and Cotter to bring the game in Scotland so far on in such a comparatively short space of time . Fitness, skill and man management plus maximising on the choice of players...

    No league for Old Men - Pro 14 - R. 8

Embra 37 Ospreys 10 Good win for the boys from Auld Reekie despite the National demands . They are beginning to look a competent outfit . More to prove !

I watched Alba here in Scotland and the commentary was by Hugh Dan McLennan supported by Fraser Brown .

    No league for Old Men - Pro 14 - R. 8

Well done Glasgow with so many reserves on display . Good coverage by Alba and commentators Hugh Dan and Fraser Brown . Great defence and despite 2 yellows Leinster seemed to lack ant real penetration . 8 wins from 8 and looking good .
