Oz teams start a week early, and the June window is a bit different with the Oz teams having more time off.

Pretty good draw for the Chiefs, in that they don't play the Bulls or the Brumbies. Their away games are against the Stormers and Kings, and the Waratahs and the Rebels. Bit stupid that they play the Highlanders twice in the first five weeks, and the Crusaders and Hurricanes twice each in the space of four rounds at the end of the competition (though broken up by a bye and the three weeks off because of tests).

You want to miss the Stormers and Sharks. The Bulls aren't in a good place right now (bottom of the CC log) and their Springboks are the underperforming ones; Steyn, Kirschner, Spies, Greyling... everyone except JdV.

Stormers have a decent enough draw. Hell, anything is better than having a week 1 bye but while we unfortunately miss the Force and Highlanders (not a bad team but we seem to do well against them) at least we have the better foreign teams at home, hosting all of the Crusaders, Chiefs, Reds and Brumbies (1 and 2 in each of their conferences by some margin last year) so I expect us to travel well. Also we get to play the Kings twice! Unfortunately we'll probably only beat them by 3 points and not get any bonus points if last year was anything to go by.

Not a bad draw to be honest.

Better than missing the Kings at least. And I'm no expert, but from what I've seen CC form seems to reflect little on who succeeds in Super Rugby, otherwise the Lions would still be in the competition ;)

Fair enough, missing the Kings is missing 5 points. Also true regarding CC form but I'd say the Bulls are a clear 3rd within SA and not the top dog any more though should still put up a better fight than the Cheetahs and Kings at least.
