2026.27 Season potential starting 15

I saw these online while on a delayed train journey for work and thought it would be a good discussion point in the off season.

In terms of saints I think Manny will be starting at 1 as he was our preferred LH last season although they both got plenty of starts and game time. Additionally I think Mitchell will be back claiming the 9 short with a healthy SH battle. His tactical kicking is a lot better than Archie still.

Then I expect litchfield to be claiming the 13 shirt as he did the end of last season.

I'd say it's pretty close, though - wouldn't be surprised to see the Currys alternate rather than have both starting, and have Canakaivata as first choice 8
I'd be surprised if EvR was dropped from the XV after being captain this season - maybe at lock with Tshiunza on the bench? But then he's a better 6...but is he a better 6 than Lawes?
Will Lozowski start or be on the bench (as part of a 6:2) covering 10/12/13/15? I'm not sure if Ma'asi-White will drop from being first choice 12, but do you sign Lozowski and not have him start? Same queston with Xavier Roe

Im guessing Mcleod is 12 and Slade 13, be a good battle between Ridl and PBB for the wing spot. And also Will Butt and Mcloed. Ross Vincent is becoming increasingly important.

And only other back coming in is Sam Harris from Bath which I nothing other than hes a FH/FB(from Wiki)

Going off the preseason clip i saw on social media the other day they've managed to get him to a barbers (or maybe a local sheep shearer?) so anything's possible

Tbh, we're unlikely to see many of these exact teams with injuries and rotations etc... even if they are first choice. Be interesting to see which teams matches a selection first.

33 isn't exactly ancient, Lawes the only one you'd say is old old

None will make 2031 but it's their next contracts (when they're 35+) where you start thinking about the drop-off

Would look something like the above going by form/fitness/expected. Williams 12, BJVR 13 and Jordan/Worsley 10 also likely. However, EQP will play a big part on selection alongside a couple of breakthroughs.

Very good full back, can supposedly play FH, but I don't recall seeing him there.
Burst into the scene in 22-23, and pretty much not played since due to repeated long-term ankle injuries - something like 5 matches in 2 years.
Was absolutely brilliant 3 years ago, looking every inch a future international, with Bath really positive about his potential. But missing 2 years of development straight out of the U20s will be a hell of a hit, especially if he's lost mobility/trust in his ankle.

If he comes good, you've got a really good one there. But Bath have a bit of a conveyer belt in his positions at the moment (Donoghue, Winters and Linegar at similar or younger ages)

He strikes me as the kind of signing that by the end of the season will have either cemented himself a place in the match day team or he’ll have played 2 prem cup games; no in between.

Very difficult to make a team at the moment....too much uncertainty. We've signed a whole squad with multiple players for the same spot. We also have a ton of kids who will be getting alot of gametime aswell, albeit they wont be starters..
