Wales have been the better team - but, my god, the referee is doing his best to hand it to them on a platter. Not one 50/50 has gone Italy’s way.
Italy look like they disagree with every decision too. Might be feeling a bit like the ref is against them, which I don't think is the case. They've just made some bad choices. This team would be a victory or 2 better off if they were more level headed in their game management, especially inside the opposition 22.

But that's not taking anything away from Wales, who have been much the better team here. Positive signs this campaign for both teams.

It is a good job we played Wales first up, just after the regional team issue.
Otherwise we would be looking at a whitewash of losses.

their must have been a deal for former wales players on dodgy hair transplants
Jamie Roberts' is terrible, it looks blurry it's so thin/sparse
Doesn't help he has the largest head known to man, needs three of four extra people to donate follicles

Italy remind me of how Argentina play the week after they've beaten the All Blacks.

Playing like they've spent the week partying.

God, I'm torn: a very slim chance Ireland win the 6N but I have to cheer for England, or France putting up enough to give England the wooden spoon ?

This may sound controversial but as much of an improvement as Wales have made throughout the tournament, what has really benefited them is they have faced Scotland, Ireland & now Italy who have all gone to the well against England the round before & all 3 were well off their best against them. Italy today are the worst, they have looked out on their feet from the first minute.
It is great to see Wales finally get a W, but I have not seen anything that makes me think Wales will get into the top 6 at any time in the future. But has confirmed to me that -IMHO- they will be fiercely competitive against those from 7th-12th in the world, which given where Wales are is a big positive!

I kinda understand why the game is going this way. Italy have been putting up good displays all tournament emptying the tank every week and with nothing to play for this week are running on fumes. Wales started rough and have been progressively getting better every week and this is their 'cup final'.

You'll rarely see a try as butchered as that one by Allen

Two on one, easy easy try and he takes contact and gets monstered on the goal line

He's tanking his lucky stars he got to the other wing to finish off the follow up

Well one huge takeaway from the tournament is wales scrum is no longer laughable, their forwards when morgan is back look good.

Wooden spoon for Wales feels about right. Wales should have hope that they can push the likes of Argentina, Scotland & Italy in the future which, given where they were at the start of the tournament, is a big positive. But I will say again though, they don’t have the numbers or amount of top end performers to be top 6 going forward and this tournament + where the state of the game is in Wales only solidifies this.
Fully deserved the win today.
