The GREAT Network Wales, Sport Swansea and Ara Recovery For All are inviting members of the Rugby and sports commmunity to participate in an upcoming workshop, "I Bet You Need to Know This: Exploring Gambling Harm in Sport." The event is aimed at all members of the Welsh rugby and sports community, including coaches, players, and interested stakeholders.
Date: 18th March
Time: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Venue: Radisson Blu Hotel Cardiff
The purpose of the workshop is to undertake scoping for a research project to delve into the prevalence and impact of gambling-related harms in the Welsh rugby and sports community. We want to know how best to support those impacted by gambling-related harm and how to ensure any future research survey is adequately designed to reflect the needs of the sporting community.
Highlights of the workshop include:
Keynote address by former professional rugby player, Bradley Davies
Presentation of key insights and statistics on gambling in sport
Signposting resources and practical recommendations
Free registration and complimentary coffee and pastries
This workshop presents a unique networking opportunity to share your thoughts and help to guide future research on the understanding of gambling harm in sport.
