I have to admit, it might be a bit bold of a prediction but it's just a feeling I have this time around, Wales don't have the best of schedules and a couple of injuries could seriously disrupt the whole team as you have limited depth. Yet, I might just end up completely wrong.
As for the press thing, even though most main newspapers haven't got around to their predictions intheloose makes quite a strong case for Wales to win for example.
My point was that your assertions that Wales have been touted 'clear favorites' by the media and that we will be overconfident as a result is not very insightful - As in, Wales have not been touted as clear favorites by the media, and they are all international professional players who will not be affected by the odd media article saying they are favorites. I don't really care about you prediction, but i do think you're way off the mark. Who knows?
Edit - Regarding the in the loose article, so what? One article does not represent 'the media'. I have seen far more predicting Ireland to win, and many more people predict England to finish higher too. Besides Wales have a better record in the SN over the past few years than any other, plus have a bit of confidence at the moment. For me, they are within a great shot of winning and i would not be surprised if they do at all. Others will agree, or disagree.
Oh and about the depth thing - Same for every team. This includes Ireland and England. England have the best strength in depth, but as we have seen they are still a bit rocked by their injuries.
But yeah, fingers crossed Wales don't have these injuries because i'd agree, i'd be much less confident if we didn't have a near full house.
