look hes back online.

Whether Mario stays or goes, I don't know. I'd like him to stay, of course, but that's down to him.

At the moment, me and Mario are working together in order to try and locate the, essentially, hacker.

just a question if you stole someone's email account eg hotmail could they trace you?
no way, i do it all the time and i'm still a free man [/b]
are you sure, can't you just trace there ip?
also is it a crime in Australia to hijack someone's account?

so, do you still people's hotmail accounts?

I can trace the IP, I'm just not convinced about the Austria thing. It's a unique IP that has not appeared on either TRF or SIDHE's board.

Hacking is, impersonation is not.

Then you've broken the hacking laws.

Its just like if you undertake murder and eat a sandwhich. One is a crime, one isnt.

This is a really baffling case. If we do find whoever it is though, they are in serious trouble. Especially from Mario.

Love the fact that it's someone in Austria... brings back memories of Blackadder's search for the German spy in the field hospital...

I can assure you all zat it definately vasn't me, despite ze teensy veensy bit ov an akzent vich I have picked up...

man your full of so much shite it isnt funny

Impersonation is a crime, comes under theft crime. Impersonation someones identity comes under false light privacy law

eg. Byron v. Johnston
Lord Byron v. Johnston, 35 Eng. Rep. 851 (1816).

in which the poet Lord Byron convinced the English equity courts to enjoin Johnston from circulating a "bad poem" which Johnston had falsely attributed to Byron.

he didn't explain it very well but i think hes referring to the double jeopardy law

is it actually true or is it just a movie

Impersonation is a crime indeed, but in Australia, stealing someone's internet identity doesnt actually count as "impersonation", for God know's what reason. This is what I meant, but I didnt feel the need to needlessly confuse the matter.

Actually it is. The contract you enter when joining up with your ISP is legally binding enough to be taken to court to defend the ISP from legal action from a plaintiff.

For example Ideal Interent in Australia has:

9. - Harassment or impersonation of IDEAL or other users;[/b]
