looking past this just being more "fluff" for a second...could be fun, BUT i would try and make a big deal about the squad selection, like playground rules, coaches taking turns selecting so there would be real debate and compromise with later selections if the obvious ones get picked up first

Dont wanna be that guy, but how many tours have the lions won in the last, say, 20 years? One?
Maybe strenghtening the oposition aint the smartest of ideas?

If you must, lets do Lions vs Anzac vs RSA+Arg*, home and away, tri nations style and get done with it. France will prolly raise some objetcion thou.

I'd have to think an ANZAC XV would be weaker than either Wallabies or ABs due to lack of coaching continuity. I really hope this isn't the route World Rugby go down with them making noises about NH vs SH.

As far as a SH team, i think most kiwis would say Richie over BB...BB hasn't fired at 10 for a long time, Taukei'aho is also the second coming and so would have him at hooker and jordie at 12 has also been a revelation, huge improvement

should this be merged with the other thread that was started?
