I'm well excited about this weekend, it's the big one. Derby day and there's players with points to prove and scores to settle all over the park.

T. Youngs vs Hartley - England's no1 and 2 hookers going head to head.
England's 2nd choice scrumhalf Dickson faces off against the forgotten man, B Youngs.
Tuilagi vs Burrell in the centres - 'nuff said
North vs Goneva is a matchup I can't wait to see.
Both Foden and Tait (if fit) will be wanting to put down markers for inclusion on the trip to NZ in the summer and give Mike Brown something to think about.

Saints looked off colour last week whilst the Tigers roared back into form, but so far this season Saints have been better and will be looking to stick one on their "big brother down the road" for the first time in 8 attempts.

The weather looks like it's going to be dry and to top it all off, a certain Mr W Barnes will be the man in the middle!

I can't wait.

I will be very impressed if Saints can get anywhere near their dominant best with those key players out - even at home.
They're starting an U20's FH.

Leicester Croft, Parling, Cole, Mafi, Benjamin.
Flood is on the bench but point still stands that Leicester have been ****ed by injury this year so we haven't really seen them at full strength, looking at the teams I cant see how Saints can win this. Does anyone know if these are injuries or are they going all Quins and just losing because they don't think they can win ?

Dickson is on the bench as well.

To be fair to Saints, they only lost one match (I'm not counting the LV Cup) and every team has an off-day every now and then. I'm sure Northampton will come out firing for this one and Tigers will have be on form to match them.

This has the makings of a classic.

Also, Bath could effectively end Sale's playoff hopes in tonight's match

Sale don't really have play off hopes.

Good Leicester side out but I'd rather have Kitchener over Deacon and almost anyone over Hamilton these days, he seems to have lost all memory of speed. Confident of an away win looking at our depth but anything could happen, should be a corker.

Who else would be instead of Hamilton it between him and Smith and Hamilton played well last week.

Also with Matera instead of Waldrom which adds more strength in the breakdown, Kitchener covers the big ball carrying bench player.

Deacon add more grunt and that imo where to attack saints without Monoa and Dickinson.

There, I evened things up for you ;)

add in Morris, Bowden and Scully

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

God knows how we won that. I think the referee was right not to award a PT as the scrum wasn't going forwards/over the line, but it feels wrong that we gave away so many penalties one after the other and Bath got nothing (well apart from Thomas getting binned).
Think the ref probably felt so too, hence the question he gave for Batty's try: If he had asked Try: Yes or No? it wouldn't have been given.

Luckily Ford had a mare at the tee/with his DGs.
Didn't help that we lost Cueto and Braid pre-game, and then had Buckley on the Bench as lock/backrow cover and no back sub.

We were going forward in the scrums though... Cobilas and Thomas were just collapsing as soon as that happened.

Absolutely mental.

We do come unstuck against organised defenses when it's wet though.
And because we don't really have any ballast in the backline we need our carrying forwards to be fit - Fearns made a huge impact when he came on.
