People make that typo all the time because for some odd reason the name Orson Wells seems to pop into thier head instead of Orwell. They sound too alike. Well that's what it seems like to me anyway...

I recommend the following;

Watchmen - Read it before you see it, you will grow to love it.
The Wasp Factory by Ian Banks - Amazingly dark and brilliant, get into it, probably the most immersive book I've ever read.
The Book if Illusions by Paul Auster - Gripping gripping stuff.
