9. Moa/Devine

10. McAlister
11. Rocokoko
12. Tuitavike/Wife Basher
13. Tipoki
14. Howlett
15. Ward

For even having the Words "Lavea" and "Blues Backline" you should slam your head between the oven door, while its on.

toeava,waqueseduadua,gibson,koonwaiyou

why must we be so greedy!!!!...

we have great potential for next year no doubt!...its the development and coaching teams thats gonna guide them to sucess

whos the head coach?...nucifora?

Some of the youngsters from Auckland will go into the draft. You won't get all of them. Come ooooon Toeava for Wellington.

all you other franchise just wait for us. to let go of talent aye hahahaha

u useless punks....we deserve two teams!..

scrap otago, and give us south auckland pink team!!!!!

Yes we do.

But alot of the time you guys let the wrong talent go, like Evans and Newby.

Next year expect Tony koonwaiyou and hopefully Tuitavake to be wearing blue and gold next year.

oh no's - how could we let Koonwaiyou go... Why must we keep losers like Joe Rocokoko (30 tries in 25 tests) or Doug Howlett (Must be in the top 5 AB Try Scorers all time now).

McAlister > Evans
Kaino > Newby

newby hasnt been much since leaving to otago..harding on the otherhand is doin an outstanding job for north harbour like a slower version of his brother..gud to have a decent 7 back up to braid for next year

Newby had a great game on Saturday lead the boys superbly, was one of our best players on the park.
Newby has done alot more in rugby than Jerome ''potential'' Kaino, Kaino has showed glimpses of skill but over all he has done sweet FA.

Harding is very very good around the park but doesn't always get stuck in at the breakdown, doesn't do the work at the breakdown that Newby does. Tim Boys is another otago flamker who will end up a better flanker than Harding, so Harding had to move if he wanted to get super 14 time.
With Koonwaiyou, well someones trash is someone elses treasure. Sure he wouldin't be a Rokocoko or Sivivatu, but he is what we need a winger with abit of size who can create chances and has alot of pace. Similar to another players we got of Auckland is the late ninties in Romi Ropati. If we had him and Saunders on the wing we would have some pretty decent outwide.

Koonwaiyou was arguably the form winger of the first few rounds. He would be an asset to any S14 team. And with regards to Tuitavake, Blues coaches and especially you Blues fans didn't care about him until he went to the Highlanders. The Highlanders made him the player he is, he has only continued this form into the NPC. Now that it looks like you will lose him it seems you want him.

how about we keep all our players and you guys shut the f*** up aye???..

if i was billionaire i wud buy all the aucklanders back and give them shared gametime and laugh at otago

I dont really care if he stay's or goes - Sam is back in form, Rua Tipoki has been one of the form centres in the last 12 months and Atiga and Ward can slot in at 13 nicely. Sure, it would be nice to have him, but it isnt like he would be the one that would hold together and lead the backline.

24 haiu
25 ellison(draft)

tupuki as captain?
i dont think collins is all that, and if he wasnt captain, macdonald and kaino would be alot closer to pushing him out of his spot than they are now. so i dont think he will maek it into the starting 15. braid, kaino, macdonald, harling, williams etc etc. weve got class loose fowards coming out of our ears... any thoughts.

as for newbie vs kaino, who was called up for the all blacks?

Kaino was.

But which of the two has played test match rugby?

Kaino has got alot of ability, but he has struggled to step up in super 12 and really dominated a game.

Mainly because we have losers like Pat Lam and Peter Sloane playing him out in the wrong jersey, or just not playing him at all.

At least with Nucifora we finally have someone without any Bias and someone who will play the best players in thier best positons.

Even despite losing the likes of Newby, Lauaki and Tuiali'li we still have one of, if not the best loose foward trio in the S14 (Kaino, Braid, N. Williams)...

Each year we lose more and more players who go on to star elsewhere, yet we still just keep rolling out new All Blacks.

The players I would protect for the 2006 S14

1. Woodcock
2. Mealamu
3. Afoa
4. Rawlison
5. A. Williams
6. Kaino
7. Braid
8. N. Williams

9. Devine

10. McAlister
11. Rocokoko
12. Sam/Tuitavakie
13. Tipoki ©
14. Howlett
15. Ward

16. Mr T
17. Whitcombe
18. Mika/McDonald (Leaning towards Mika for impact)
19. Harding
20. Moa
21. Atiga
22. Nacewa

23. A. McDonald
24. Lavea

The suppose Tipoki could do as captain, although maybe we could relegate Rawlison and play either Nick Williams or McDonald at lock (preferably McDonald as Williams is a beast at No 8)
