No idea... the first I've heard of it.
I vaguely remember hearing about the "cheering on Wales" thing, but I think the general consensus was that it was media/press bullsh*t.

I'm going to make a completely wild and wacky assumption and say that that c*nt has never watched an Aviva game in his life.
He's probably also going on about how Lancaster has shocked the world by omitting Wilko from the touring squad, and Andrew Sheridan is expected to start at loosehead.

Agreed he must have missed Aviva. Cupric I has been worthy and deserves credit for maturing and can play a controlled game now. It'd be great if Cipriani slammed it back at them with a superb tour
I am really hoping he gets the chance and the support to be able to show that he is a worthy selection as, although he has been a bit of a prat at times, he has had inordinately bad press which tends to lead the minds of a lot of people who have little ability to think for themselves!!

Interesting. I really like that guy. He's calm, gathered, knows what needs to be done, seems to analyze things simply and effectively. And he looks very simple, seems like the last guy you'd see showing off and he's done a fantastic job with England. To think they got second in the 2012 6N with brand new faces, good stuff...
So about Cipriani: does having an Italian name at least give him natural good cooking powers ? Anyone got spicy info about that ? And, less interestingly: how confident are the England fans in that spaghetti wiz ?

Bump. Noticed Cipriani has been on form again this season most notably against Gloucester. I doubt he has much chance of making it past Farrell or Ford for the internationals, but the European opposition in Sale's pool is near international standards so it will be interesting to see if he can put forward a case to break into the 23 on that stage. Not saying I'm his biggest fan, but credit to him for turning his career around with Sale and at least becoming a top level Premiership player.

I think he will be starting 10 in the autumn if Farrell is injured . His form has made him impossible to ignore

I think Lanacaster is too loyal - he'll go for Burns and Ford over Cipriani, who has been brilliant so far.
I think Ford is all but nailed on this Autumn.
Farrell being injured certainly helps Danny's chances, but like GN10 says, he's almost definitely 4th choice - even if Burns implodes at Tigers he'll likely still be ahead of Cips, as he was over the summer on the back of a godawful season at Glaws.
Slade's form doesn't particularly help Danny, either, as Slade now has decent experience of playing in the centres Lancaster might name him as his third flyhalf, and look to use him on the bench in the Samoa game.

Conversely, Slade doesn't actually have that much experience at playing fly-half in the pro game, and isn't getting any of his hype from playing in that position at the moment.

I keep forgetting how young Cipriani is - my thought process was that Slade is younger, and was around the EPS at the start of the summer, but then Cipriani's only 26 so not exactly ancient and will easily be around for the 2019 RWC.

Tbh, that may be the logic Lancaster uses. I hope not - the sole purpose of this year is to find the best team for the World Cup, even if I don't think we'll win it, youth only has a place if its ready right now and it's really difficult to say whether Slade is ready as a fly-half. And, as you say, Cips could be at the next World Cup too.

I'm not so sure that Burns will be ahead of Cips and Ford - gut feeling only, but Cips really has been playing very well.
