The rapid ascent of Paddy Butler to the Irish jersey has begun, watch out Jamie! :D Along with Conway surely the brightest prospect we have :)

Interesting to see Keatley at fifteen. Munster will be pleased to see him there no doubt, considering they're swapping him for Warwick next season.

EDIT: That Connacht bench is truly awful. We've got to ship a few more kids out west pronto.

For Munster:
Glad to see Hayes on the bench with Sherry and Borlase getting a start. A good second row with the lineout skills of Nagle and strengh of Ryan. The back row isn't great and Ronan and Quinlan have a tendancy to do stupid things. Good experience at scrum half and fly half. The backs have potential but lack control and experience.

For Connacht:
A good front 5 and Hagan and Cronin have a big challenge. The back row is big but lacks organisation. a good back 3 for Connacht aswell the bench is poor apart from Murphy, Nathan and Touhy who aren't to bad.

Know nothing about this Sweeney guy, but think Munster will win based on the quality and experience of the backline compared to the Westie one, as well as forward dominance.

Big game for Borlase, if he can't dominate this Sweeney fella Munster are up **** creek.

Butler or Nagle MoM :p I'm thinking Butler :D

I thought he was Irelands best backrower for the U20s last season. A good prospect for Munster and Ireland. Has he bulked up much?

The weather was, the match was rubbish, the ref was worse. Nothing much good to say about the whole thing. I'd call Nagle and Hagan to the 6 nations though. Prep them for the world cup.

Lads some hangover but Quinny dislocated elbow so is presumably out of last 2 games

Connacht robbed, the first scrum of the series of scrums in the 80th minute was a stonewall penalty try. Munster did well to recover after that one all the same, but their was 200% a try on the way from the first scrum had we not brought it down, poor refereeing.

Seriously lucky Munster performance, what a poxy try!

Both teams made alot of mistakes and were playing very old fashioned rugby probably due to the weather. In the second half Connacht couldn't keep up with Munsters kicking game and only threatened Munster in the last minutes. I thought Gleeson, Nagle, Hagan and Keatley were all good.
