What an unbelievable career he’s had. Probably the best fly half I have seen play the game. That 2005 performance in that 2nd test v the Lions was something else.

Glad I got to see his last game in an All Black shirt.

Wasn't expecting this because, like Olyy, I hadn't realised he was still playing. GOAT in my opinion too.

He went to Japan after leaving Racing and then from there to the Blues, after his contract at the Steelers, was cancelled due to the pandemic, as coach/player last season. Although don’t think he played a game for the Blues. So yeh last 2 years he’s heading to this point.

My wife honestly thought her phone was craping itself, when i asked why she said it was bring up websites it must have cashed from a couple of years ago and showed me the NZ Herald page saying he was retiring!
