England 2024/25

No real issues with the squad, gotta be frustrating missing out on a tour for a banned player though - even if you would just be holding the tackle bags that he is

They should make it so a banned player can't be in a squad tbh, even if they get unbanned mid series, name them at that point

IFW and Underhill can compare notes.

Still an impressive squad to pick with what 22 players out with Lions and injury.

Still gonna argue why the RFU went for such a tough series even a year ago when it announced when all the other home nations have gone with tier 2 teams.

Maybe a year ago they didn't anticipate as many players going with The Lions.

Money?

We've toured Argentina during the lions for ages, like 3 or 4 previous tours

Your both probably right did it during Lions tours before and money.

On previous tours its a little different now, Argentina weren't a top 5 team then. England second string could in compete with them but not now. I personally wouldn't have done it.

A back row of Ben Curry, Underhill and Tom Willis looks very tasty! With Pepper or CCS to come in .

IFW, yeah I kind of get it. OHC has been looked at and his face doesn't seem to fit, Radwans still a defensive liability. IFW the 'star' winger in the making...his alround game is excellent already...and it will get better (needs to sort his kicking out).

Also means he keeps familiar with the squad and SB can re-test Murley against a good Top tier nation.

You could have had Arundel...

It really isn't. Perhaps they weren't top 5. But they've been highly competitive for a good while now. I don't think they've been lower than 7th in the past 10yrs and we're usually talking about ranking points for 1 or 2 results being the difference between 5th and 7th.

Think about the last couple of squads we've sent there on tour. I think it's fair to say, Argentina have typically underperformed given we've generally been without 6 or 7 from our starting XV.

Though tbf, it's a short tour - so long as there's no injuries or ****les two looseheads should be enough

Start Baxter vs Argentina, start Rodd vs USA

Two of Heyes/Davison/Asher for the tighthead shirts, Fasogbon there to hold tackle bags.

Asher will probably have to train at loosehead but hopefully won't have to play there

Tbh England have seemed to see him as a LH option a number of times. Wouldn't be surprised to see it

It's what ruined Watson, was unsafe to play him at FB when he was a wing and caused him so many injuries.

Ruined his career.
