On the one hand he could have just decided he wanted to do a degree, and that the team he played for would be based on where is more convenient.
He was u18 captain - so it's not like he's been shunned.
It could also have to do with Kvesic and Rowan being at Glos too - he might have thought he was unlikely to get much playing time at Glos, so he might as well go somewhere he can get decent gametime until he's finished his education.

Imagine U18s was before he made his uni choice, though? Isn't in the England U20 squad.

Not like he couldn't have gone somewhere in England with hopes of getting a game.

We have backrowers coming out of our ears at Glos. Moriarty, Kvesic, Morgan, Evans, Kalamafoni, Rowan, Ludlow, Dan Thomas, Batley...

I'm not sure who we are gonna lose in the long run, but we aren't gonna be able to keep all of these happy.

Yup,
Jones wants two players good over the ball on the flanks - Haskell is good-to-very good for a 6. Experienced, and just about the only real leader I can think of that's currently in the EPS.
I would not be surprised to see him at 6, captaining, in then opening round of the 6N - especially if we have a rookie at 7.

Eddie Jones must be over the moon with this form.

Loads of fringe players putting hands up all around

Players who have impressed me over last 2 weeks in the CC who were not in the EPS
Front row
Mullan, Autera, Cooper-wooley, Thomas, Waller,
Locks
Gaskell, Barrow, Itojie
Back Row
Gibson, O'Connor, Williams, Hughes
12
Hill,
13
Daly
Wing
Woodburn, Wade
15
Foden

add in the players who have been in the challenge cup put impressing in AP like Clifford, Kvesic etc etc.

things must be looking good for the new Coach.

But obviously form can change quite quickly.

Haskell a real leader? Not sure I'd agree about that. Although probably as close as anyone.

I wouldn't be disappointed if Jones decided that Haskell was captain for the 6N. To be honest the list of possibilities isn't long. Most of the other experienced players I hope are not in the team.

Haskell.

Ask yourself how good a player would be at playing touch rugby - if it's "eh... not so good", then I don't think they should really be in contention for senior international roles.
Particularly if you have intentions on being an efficient, clinical attacking side.

You can't get frustrated at players making stupid mistakes, when you pick players who have always made stupid mistakes.
