England vs Fiji 26th August 23

I still think Joe Schmidt picking Robbie Henshaw at 15 and the ensuing hammering from England is what completely derailed our 2019. I guess England have taken their earth shattering hammering and anything is worth the risk but messing around with specialist positions screams bad idea to me.

I see SCW has named his team, assuming players not in squad were available and squad has not been officially set.
1. Genge
2. Dan
3. Sinckler
4. Itoje
5. Lawes
6. Curry
7. Earl
8. Mercer
9. Mitchell
10. Smith
11. Arundell
12. Stewart
13. Marchant
14. Radwan
15. Watson

Like backline, but pack seems very underpowered in set piece.
I would have Lawes with a bigger partner and Itoje on bench.

Sorry, he put Slade at 13.

May starting is pretty funny,
Steward, unsurprisingly, at 15
9/10/12/13 is exciting if they're given license to play
Good to see Walker back
Rodd going into the RWC with 12mins of rugby since June

Earl at 8 is a bit of a surprise - considering the obsession with mass I'd have thought Ludlam would be in over him

Do we know for sure- Have we submitted our RWC squad or was it a provisional squad named for the players and press which can be amended before being submitted officially by the deadline?

Nice try @TRF_Olyy.

But obviously a wind up as George isn't involved.

Why give minutes to May over Daly, Arundell or even Marchant? Borthwick knows he's not in the squad, right?

May is bizarre. You've got Daly and Arundell available both of whom need minutes…..unless Watson's injury means he might need replacing.

Rodd - the missing man.

Martin not involved for the 2nd week running. There was whisper of an injury - presumably true.

Obviously no Curry.

All going swimmingly.

So Steward has started at fullback in all 9 of Borthwick's games in charge of England. I like Steward but we really ought to have tried somebody else.

Am I really the first person to assume that Olly is on the wind-up?
I wish I were:

Watson definitely out. Arundell and Daly hoped to be fit for the RWC.

Given Stewards issues in defence. The thought of decent wingers running at him and Cocka fills me with joy.
