Not great, not defending the ruck fringes and England are coming through putting Phillips under pressure. On attack too many forwards going on their own or in 2's.

Underwhelming first half for both teams. Wales probably look more dangerous with ball in hand whereas England seem to try to force fluidity. Would have to say the ref is having a bit of a mare with the knock-ons and blatant refusal to referee the scrum properly.

A lot of players look understandably rusty, but I can't for the life in me understand why Simon Shaw takes every ball standing

So far its been a better contest than most expected. As per usual steve walsh is up to his usual tricks.
Phillips hasnt been too bad, last 5 minutes he started getting sluggish.

England making lots of errors, just wished wed capatilise on it.

Armitage looking sharp, tualagi as a battering ram by the looks of things. Bring on second half
