English fan question

"Look at what these b******s have done to Wales. They've taken our coal, our water, our steel. They buy our houses and live in them for a fortnight every 12 months. And what have they given us? Absolutely nothing. We've been exploited, raped, controlled and punished by the English — and we're playing them this afternoon."

Phil Bennett pre match team talk 1977.

Some people just seem confused as to why the celts (apart from the Iberian Irish) target games against the English... just thought I'd clarify for the uninitiated.

Every Englishman who questions why the celts put so much stock in beating the English.

Over the course of my time on this forum I have seen quite a few yes.

It isn't that the celts are anti-English (although I can't talk for everyone), it's simply a long standing hangover from history together with England being a great measurement for success.
