This is a decision made entirely by TRF forum users.

I think that the World Cup section has been a great success. With the Premiership season over the horizon, I feel we can continue the momentum in this section.

The alternative is for football to be shoved back in "Other Sports."

It's down to you.

Might as well keep it. There are a fair few of you English boys who'd probably continue to get use out of it.

Creating a specific football section, therein making the sub forums (World cup, Premiership, FA cup etc.) would work better. Possibly a blatent copy of TFF.

In 2 weeks time, the world cup forum won't be used anymore being as no-one using this place lives in/supports any of the remaning teams. (being as Frane will have their asses handed to them in the next round.)

But that's just my 2 penneth.

That's the intention. Rename the World Cup forum "The Football Section."

We could have betting tips etc etc.

I used to use TFF quite a bit, but it always seemed to be quiet.

meh i dont like football so i chose no as i come here for rugby :) but i guess i am the minority o_O

yea when the premiership starts up we'll need a section

plus it may attract more possible posters.

Must admit I'm a distant Tottenham fan as not a hell of a lot of coverage here, so would be good to follow them week by week through TRF :)

This is the rugby forum. I'll put up with league, it is a rugby code afterall, but soccer? Now I know we're doing a lot of expanding and I'm all for that, but I think having a soccer forum might take away a bit from what brought us all here in the first place. At some stage we have to ask ourselves, are we a rugby forum or not?

EDIT : I had forgotten there was an other sports section dedicated to rugby league and cricket. It seems popular enough so I think soccer has warranted a spot under this heading, just as long as it doesn't some day grow outside it.

This could have a thread all of its own somewhere surely? Share the wealth for any hot tips or things that could be worth a flutter. People could post if they've seen particularly good odds on anything somehwere too.

People could donate a small percentage of any winnings resulting from it to TRF...

The only one sport which deserves a specific section in my view is Rugby League. There are plenty of forums dedicated to football so why should TRF target it? What's the benefit?

I need to target what people are talking about DB, and that's football. I love rugby league, and I'd love the rugby league section to thrive, but it's dead. It's virtually none existant.

Isn't this board supposed to be a Rugby one?

If you look for popularity only you should consider opening a porn section, you'll see the number of visitors will increase dramatically.

I dont see a problem with having other boards for other sports plenty of Other Forums do it, and we are still primarily a rugby board, but not everyone wants to talk just about rugby, so we are slightly diversifying our market, we could have a porn board but that would go against all my morales...

If you look at Football forums, which I do as well, they also cover rugby and other sports, if people like the community and have an interest in both sports they are more likely to join the board, and talk about both sports.
