I wouldn't say they're bothered about who he's going to.

IMO, it's always a bit of a sore point when a player runs his contract down and leaves on a free.
if that is the case how is that TAA's fault. Surely direct your ire towards the club. They could've sold him or made him an offer he couldn't refuse but they chose to let him leave on a free.

I don't have any ire to direct.

You're attributing levels of common sense to football fans that you really shouldn't.

Why did Stoke fans boo Aaron Ramsey for having the nerve to break his leg on the studs of a Stoke player?

sorry I didn't mean your as in you personally I meant in the general sense.

As I say I don't think it is just a football thing. That's a large part for sure but Liverpool fans are a special breed. They can't say anything agaisnt their precious club. Like, I don't understand why bada bing just can't say how he is disappointed/ashamed of the treatment he got.

What's that got to do with anything. I'm sure if Kane went to Chelsea he would've got a load of **** regardless of them not winning anything. Which is why I could understand if TAA went to one of Liverpool's actual rivals.
Because there's no real connection between Spurs and Bayern. They are not competing against each other regularly, especially in Europe. I don't speak on behalf of Spurs fans and neither do I speak on behalf of every Liverpool fan. We're not one homogenous group. As explained before Trent is a Liverpool lad born and bred - came through the ranks. It's particularly sore for some fans because of this and the way he's leaving without giving Liverpool any transfer fee for all the years the club have trained and given to him. From that POV it can be seen as why some fans have a grievance and don't like it and choose to Boo - they pay their money and have a right to. Said before Liverpool shouldn't have trusted him like they did with Mo and VVD who did sign. But football is a business, but also for fans it's about loyalty and the heart. The two things conflict.

See also why Owen is not treated with such reverence. We're not a cult, as you've previously said - as seen by Klopp leaving with grace and Slot coming and straight in. And it's not just Liverpool fans; do West Ham fans cheer Rice even though they got £100m for him, when they play Arsenal? It's just football.

So wait a minute, it's TAA's fault Liverpool didn't get a fee for him?

Didn't Gerard get death threats when there was talk of him going to Chelsea back in the day. There were even rumours IIRC that a major scouse organised crime mob put pressure on him. lol. Probably ******** but still funny. It's believable with Liverpool.

Where did I say that? I said it's Liverpool's fault for not selling him last summer.

And FYI Spurs got 110m euros for Kane. Big difference with TAA who ran down his contract. But he had every right to do so.

I think what you mean to say @Bada-Bing! is that Liverpool fans are annoyed he didn't sign a new deal and instead decided to leave the cult. 😉
Me thinks you still have a chip on your shoulder with Liverpool even after Klopp left and proved Liverpool aren't a cult. Now you're making a mountain out of molehill out of again with this whole Trent thing to prove again you have a chip on your shoulder about Liverpool fans. 🤔😉

Best team in the competition won the CL in the end. Taken this long for Qatari state to win it though after Newcastle winning the EFL.

Which one do you think? Americans buying up others.
Spurs is the obvious one to target for the Qataris. London based, best stadium, retail property and further development plans etc etc. but I could see someone like an Arsenal or even an Everton. They'll get their mits on something I'm sure. In the Arab dick waving competition you need to be in the prem, France doesn't quite cut it.

Which association football club(s) playing in the English league set up currently not a member of the top flight league set up would you most likely to see win promotion to the top flight.

For me
Wrexham
Birmingham
Plymouth

What club or club(s) for you?

No one buying tickets to club World Cup
amazed FIFA would think a club version of the World Cup would work. A bunch of teams no one in the US is actually a fan of and they arbitrarily chose Miami to continue.

The MLS season continues during this. I care much more about Philly than I do about Bayern vs Auckland City.

The champions league just ended, PSG and Atl. Madrid played each other last fall.

Bye bye Ange. Europa league and Q for CL not enough when Spurs finish 17th. Still, one more trophy than Arsenal.
