Hi guys,

After recovering from some leg muscles injuries and my knees feeling better my doc gave me the green light and declared I'm fit to play rugby. YES YES YES.

I started running and swimming and I feel my fit increasing every session.
As I don't want to overload my body I'm looking for a work out schedule that I can increase every week/ fortnight.

I was thinking of running/ sprinting
Push ups, sit ups, pull ups, squats, rope skipping ( to get my leg muscles stronger) and maybe some weights.

I'm not playing on a certain position yet so a general fitness would be the aim here.

Cheers.

If you're gonig to be working out mostly at home and not using big weights, I'd suggest going to this website: http://www.bodyrock.tv/
She's got some great at home workouts that will hit your whole body, and she's...uhm...well...easy on the eys.

Thanks mate,

I think I will be working out outside as normally the weather should allow it until end of october.
May even do two sessions a day. Don't need to bulk up really, just work on my pace and become mean as.
Cheers.

Try walking while doing bicep curls, hammer curls and all that stuff on your arms, the added movement of walking will mean each movement will be a slight variation and work the muscles better, you don't have to use massive weights either.
