Wanted a thread to discuss rugby seriously, having played for over 40 years, including starting teams in unlikely places such as Germany and Uganda. I'm 59 now, so I guess my playing days are over. Come from a strong RL area and my uncle is a well known referee in BARLA, recentlly selected for the England over 50s side to play Australia (home and away). Hope I am not sin-binned for this . I was always a fan of union though.

Luebeck RFC in the north. We were lucky in that we could often call on a few "ringers" from the Navy based in Kiel.
