If you are like me, then you find yourself constantly introducing the sport of Rugby to various and sundry masses of people who know nothing of the grand old game. How do you explain a Ruck, a Maul, and God Bless their wee tiny brains...A Scrum???
I take on new players on my team weekly it seems. A friend on my squad will invite them to come out and play. Sure some of these guys are quite athletic, but they know jack all about rugby.
So, here is the best tool I've found so far. I'm going to share it with you. Next time you are trying to explain rugby to a co-worker or, maybe even a big bossomed lady you fancy, skip the napkin diagrams and pull up these videos:

Armchair Fan's Guide To Rugby
They have more in-depth videos as well. So click the link and you can see more about Forwards and Backs and all sorts of other aspects of the game.
