The ref isnt that bad. In actual fact he's making, on the whole, right decisions. Its just neither pack want to follow any sort of rules at rucks. What else can the ref do if neither side want to make it a fair contest

This. I'm not surprised by England's inaccuracy at the ruck, I am surprised by Ireland's. Turning into one of those typical low intensity A internationals.

Good hitout for SO'B. Be interesting to see if he goes back to Leinster now or comes into the 23 for Italy.

I reckon give him a go against Italy to push on his match fitness. He's not going to be a weakness. But there's always a process towards injuries much more complicated than that.

Can be forgiven not putting the ball in straight once but twice is brain dead.

Ireland right back in this now.

Nothing is happening. It's like I'm staring at the screen and drifting. I keep switching back to the forums for updates.

Ugh. That was annoying, but surely based on the previous 70 miuntes that should have been a penalty just before the knock on.

Much improved from D'arcy in the last 10.

Lovely pass from Slade there.... Not a good game, ref strangled it on the first half and it never recovered.

Congratulations England (**** you). We just weren't good enough. I'm not sure what to say. All our players looked anonymous. What made it worse was that no English player stuck out in my view either. D'Arcy's experience is unwarranted. Marmion has a crisp pass. Madigan isn't a 10. Henderson had a nice run or two. But yeah, generally, the wolfhounds didn't play with energy. Good on ya England (a**h**les) :p)

Ewers and Kvesic were brilliant. Waldrom, Itoje, Slade, Pennell, Mullan and Ashton (surprisingly) all good also. Disappointing that the ref didn't let the game flow however.

A glimpse at the end of what sort of game we could have seen. Telling that when both sides were actually given more than five phases they pushed into the 22 and, in England's case, scored twice.

Great games from Ewers and Itoje. Mullan and Thomas did very well too. Kvesic showed what an openside can bring.
