WOW knows him...

he has to be world player of the year!!

amazing!!!

I've never seen him tired, on 80min he is still everywhere you look or where the action is and he does this for the entire 80min

where do I vote for him???

Richie will still prob win it...

He's a likable bloke as well. I'd pick him to play for Earth Vs Mars on Boxing Day.

He's a fantastic human being it seems. Always smiling, huge heart, the kind of guy who looks really good on the inside and will really look to genuinely help others with no interest whatsoever. I see him as being a huge family person and being treated like a kid by his aunts and all and smiling awkwardly lol.
An amazing talent, eclectic and unique skills and game for a no.8. And history has favored his numerous talents this year, as he isn't just another great but discreet forward, he's been at the forefront of the AB's amazing success this year, who will finish unbeaten probably the whole of 2013, scoring tries and offload-assists.
He's got my vote. After Fred Michalak of course, but that goes without saying.

I feel he's the Larry Bird of the current All Blacks. Not only looks the best but makes his team look great. Amazing skills. Both have prominant noses as well, which is probably where my comparrison is truly based.

As a guy he seems humble and genuinely looks to enjoy himself a ton, which is a nice change from Richie McCaw who as great as he is - sometimes plays it a bit too stoic.

The guy will be the IRB player of the year for sure. Will Greenwood is on the IRB panel, which consists of 10 different players from the top 10 countries, who will decide on the player of the year and he's pretty much said, in his column in the daily telegraph here in the UK, that his vote his going to Read.

Another major compliment is that Lawrence Dallaglio told Greenwood that he rates Read higher than higher than the other two best All Black no. 8s from the last 25 years: Wayne Buck Shelford and Zinzan Brooke. Quite an accolade from England's World Cup winning no. 8.

I've gone off him now. Its almost as bad as Kings of Leon... If the radio plays that bloody song one more time...

Human? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure he's the 9th Doctor. A bit beefed up, but still...the Doctor.

das

when he first came on the scene I wasnt impressed, he did take a while in Super Rugby to establish himself (looking back I think no one realised how young he was as he's always looked old!) Everyone in Christchurch used to say he's not big enough, which ironically my boss said to me about 3 weeks ago. If he hasn't already proved you dont need to be a monster then he never will.
Pace and skill will always beat size.
PS I'm glad his confidence hasn't reached the Zinzan level, he's not there for dropkicks or grubbers or cut out passes!
