Director of rugby Andy Key has confirmed that Leeds Carnegie are in talks with scrum-half Warren Fury and fly-half Lachlan Mackay.
Wales' Fury is a free agent after being released by Wasps at the end of last season, while Australian Mackay has been at Brive for the last two years.
Key told BBC Radio Leeds: "They are players we are talking to and are keen to get their signature."
"We cannot confirm their signings yet but we are discussing deals."
As expected, Key has also confirmed that the Yorkshire club will not be signing Warrington Wolves full-back Richie Mathers.
